Traders arrived at the Trade Fair Complex today to find that they’ve been locked out of their shops by the state government and this led to a protest outside the business area.

Traders who spoke to us said they were not given any good reason why they were not allowed into their shops early on a Monday morning.

There were a number of speculations as to the reason why the complex was locked without prior notice, but nothing concrete.

As they waited outside the Trade Fair Complex, traders carried out a protest with placards as they asked to be allowed into their shops to conduct business for the day.
