-Says his administration priority for 2019 is construction of more than 20 roads and repair of damaged roads
– Continuation of medium-term plan in sectors like Education, Health and Environment
-As he assures that his government will continue to deliver on his Four-Point agenda

The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola on Thursday, presented N3,783,611,603.83 as proposed 2019 budget to the Legislative Arm of the Council.

The budget was tagged, ‘Budget of Next Level’.

He presented the 2019 proposed budget before the Executive Arm, Management team, All Progressives Congress {APC} members, and members of the public who were in attendance.

According to Hon. Ayoola, the N3,783,611,603.83 proposed budget is shared in the following percentage: Federal allocation is 1,707,572,095:99 {45.1%}, VAT is 1,849,869,770:64{49.4%}, IGR is 193,423,000 {5.11%}.

Also, year 2019 expenditure ratio of total recurrent to Capital Expenditure is 68:32. And the brief breakdown in expenditure through percentage is as follows:
– Capital – 32%
– Personnel Cost – 33%
– Statutory deduction – 7%
– Overhead Cost – 28%

The Council Chairman, while presenting the proposed 2019 budget said his administration’s priority for the year are roads construction and rehabilitations, and with continuous medium-term plan in sectors like Education, Health and Environment.

“My administration will continue to deliver on its electoral promises under the Four-Point agenda,” he said.

He added that the policy focus for this year’s budget is majorly infrastructural development which is planned to achieve by construction of over 20 roads, repair of damaged roads, culverts and drainages.

He went further by announcing that government will continue the roll-over plan on improved Primary Education System, improved Health Care Service Delivery, which is geared towards construction of health care centres. Also, continuous effort in making Ajegunle communities and other neighbouring environment inside AJIF LGA clean and attractive through the Environmental Unit of the Council {AJIF}.
