Once upon a time in Nigeria, there existed a political party known as the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP). The NNPP prided itself on being an independent political group, committed to respecting all political parties and avoiding engaging in mergers to combat others. They believed in the value of inclusivity and maintained a non-partisan approach, as stated by Alh. AbdulRazaq AbdulSalam, the PRO of NNPP.

However, like any organization, the NNPP faced its own set of challenges. Some individuals within the party began engaging in talks of a merger with another political party. This move did not align with the NNPP’s principles, and as a result, those who were pushing for the merger were expelled from the party.

As the NNPP dealt with these internal conflicts, it became clear that the party’s focus had to remain on resolving these matters. The party recognized that until these internal issues were resolved through a court process, they needed to take precedence. The resolution of the Board of Trustees (BOT) was to dissolve the current leadership, led by Abba Kawu, and further, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was expelled from the party.

Meanwhile, various political parties continued to approach the NNPP with merger proposals. However, the stance of the party remained clear: they were not interested in any merger offers at that particular point in time. The NNPP believed in staying true to their principles and maintaining their independent status.

As the story unfolded, the NNPP worked diligently to resolve its internal conflicts through the proper legal channels. While the party faced challenges, they remained committed to their ideals of inclusivity and non-partisanship. The future held uncertainties, but the NNPP remained steadfast in their beliefs, awaiting the day when they could actively participate in Nigeria’s political landscape once again.
